Going Green. It's the little things that work.

The electric car that I purchised is made by Global Electric Moters and cost a lot to go green. But there are a lot of things that you do in your day to day life.

The first and quickest thing to do is switch to CFL bulbs. They use a lot less elericity then the old style bulbs. (sorry Edison). I did it over a few months. When we move into this house. I started to replace the old bulbs with CFLs as they went out. There good for your eletric bill too.

Second thing on your list of to do's is... STOP BUYING BOTTLED WATER!! Whoa. Sorry about that i cant stand bottled water at stores and in vending machines. First of all all the packeging to hold something so simple is a BIG WASTE. Then there is the transportation cost to get it to the store then your home. This is very wastefull as well. Almost all the water in those silly bottles is the same as what comes out of your tap at home. And you just paid $1.99 for a bottle an some almost free H2O. Then if you get it out of a vending machines. So now you just had some water from someone elses tap put in a bottle shiped on a big truck to a warehouse then shiped to an office put in a big fridge that uses more electricity to stay at (not so) cold temps. Instead by a reusable water bottle and fill it up instead!

Third >>> Recycle Recycle Recycle. Most trash companies will pick up your recyclables for you. If not then find the closest recycling post and become great friends with them 3 or 4 times a month. Even better if you can get MONEY for your aluminium and glass the trip would be a little better every time.

This will get you started. But there are many, many more things. Like using bycicle more and use a laptop instead of a desktop (i will talk more about this later)
